TimelyBill features a modern SaaS infrastructure for endless scale.
Our software incorporates a highly virtualized, redundant server infrastructure, networking devices, and disk subsystems. Here are just a few examples of how our system was designed "from the ground up" to be a scalable billing solution.
High availability software environment:
Each TimelyBill customer has both a production and stage database. These instances are unique to a customer and not shared. A third database instance operates in a separate virtual machine as a "hot" synchronous copy of the primary database instance. This allows us to roll out software updates on demand without disrupting our customer's business operations.
Multiple data center locations:
TimelyBill’s primary data center infrastructure is N+1 to N+5 on all key hardware, power supplies, and bandwidth. We currently have two data centers operating in both the East and West Coasts.

While other billing systems play technology catch-up, TimelyBill was built "from the ground up" to support enterprise level businesses.
Data protection:
We undergo annual SOC 1 Type II examination audits to ensure that the controls we employ to protect customer data exceed industry standards and best practices. Some of the data safeguards include:

- File integrity monitoring (FIM)

TimelyBill can dynamically increase its capacity and functionality based on user demand. Our system performance is architected to remain stable in terms of performance, maintenance, and availability.
We also enable simple and uniform web service interfaces to be configured via our unique "REST Actions" tool. Combined with our low code workflow designer, our platform can extend to support unique business needs without changes to the underlying software code.
Support for international billing:
Out of the box, we allow organizations to manage and bill as multiple companies. This feature enables international billing using different currencies, distinct product catalogs, and uniquely branded customer web portals.
